Budget & Stewardship
Vision & Mission Statements
Vision: Create a realistic church budget supporting the strategic plan
concept with the ultimate goal of winning souls and retaining members
as we wait for the coming of the Lord.
Mission: Execute funds supporting the overall church strategic plan
for its in-reach and community outreach programs.
Our Story
.png)
Welcome to Mount Calvary SDA church. The church carries a sacred
responsibility and plays a significant role in our church where the
size of the congregation or the amount of funds makes it effective to
have a healthy financial posture. The church stewardship looks at our
money, time management, and our gifts God has given us and encourages
everyone to give God its best.
Our Budget and Stewardship Committee
are church members in good standing. Their role is listed.
-
Be spiritually mature and understand a biblical understanding of stewardship.
-
Act as directed and empowered by the church board to oversee financial
operations and to recommend viable long range fiscal plans.
-
Work with the church treasurer to prepare and present an annual church
budget proposal.
-
Recommend financial policies to the church board, if required.
-
Monitors church finances throughout the fiscal year and make
appropriate recommendations to ensure the house of God is always in
order.
-
Communicate and cooperate with the Edification and Proclamation
pillars and other ministry groups for the fiscal budget success.
-
Hold sensitive financial information in strict confidence.
-
Focus on the needs of the church, rather than their own special interests.
-
Consistently make recommendations that maximize the effectiveness of
the money entrusted to the church.

Types of Givers
(Usually your talents, means, and time management follow this pattern
of behavior)
Non-Giver: In many churches today, a surprising percentage of members
give virtually nothing to support the mission of their church. Some
are experiencing financial difficulties while others have lost sight
of the mission of their church or have lost confidence in the way the
church handles money. Others simply have had little or no education in
Christian stewardship principles or in managing their personal
finances.
Occasional Giver: Often these members are irregular, perhaps
attending once a month, or as little as three or four times a year.
Their giving is usually confined to token amounts.
Selective Giver: Some members support only the projects that appeal
to them. They must be interested in a special project or activity
before making a commitment.
Impulsive Giver: The members of this group are reasonably consistent
in their attendance, but their giving is sporadic. They are inspired
to give from time to time, sometimes quite generously. But their
excitement is not long lasting.
Committed Giver: Approximately 25 percent of the membership of most
churches are committed givers. They are active in their service and
attendance and are committed to giving regularly to support the
mission of the church. An increasing number of these members are also
committed to grow

Faith/Trust/Cheerful
Continue praying
Giving is sacrificial individually
Support renovation project
Don’t take from one sacrifice to give to another
Let’s all do what we can. We need everyone’s support. Continue to trust God!
An additional financial sacrifice is requested of what the Holy Spirit
guides you to give to begin Phase two
